Hiretal

Software engineer · 2025 — 2026

A two-sided hiring product: companies drop a job description, candidates get matched, and recruiters see a scored shortlist instead of a CV pile.

Hiretal sat between companies and talent. May took a job description, parsed the role, and returned a shortlist. Max was the candidate side — chat, profile, and job matches. Matching ran in the background: CVs and JDs were normalized, embedded, stored in Postgres, and retrieved through Pinecone so the dashboard never waited on a live model call.

On the frontend I worked in React and TypeScript — recruiter intake, shared match pages, admin, and the landing flow for “upload a JD, get vetted people in 48 hours.” The company has since shut down. The useful part was the matching engine and the recruiter workflow, not the marketplace around it.
